found again

Hope others have less trouble finding my blog than I do. I am just getting my bearings in this blogosphere. Today I put the url for this blog into my toolbar. That will give me instant access to the front page of my blog. From there I should be able to proceed to post new comments and new pictures. Bear with me while I take my first steps.

Any tips along the way are welcome.

The picture is an example of the kind of drawing I create during one of the 2 or 3 drawing sessions, in which I participate each week.

launching art blog

Hello Everyone,

Today I took the plunge: I opened my own blog. Compared to many other blogs, this one will focus more on art (painting rather than writing), an activity to which I have devoted an increasing amount of time (and resources) since retiring from the practice as architect.

Once I become more familiar with the technical aspects of blogging, I hope to show examples of my work here. Meanwhile, feel free to offer hints about ways by which I can enhance my blog to make this as interesting a site to visit. If at all possible comment on everything you find here, especially the paintings and foremost if you really like what you see. With your feedback and help this could become a fun place to visit for you and for me - just what a blog should be, I hope. As a start, you might tell me how you like the name of the blog, art-by-harald, is it catchy enough. Will you be able to remember it - including the correct spelling of my first name? Do you see any reason my last name should have been included in the blog name?

Up to now, I have ventured on to the web only on two sites, facebook.com and barebrush.com. Take a look at these and let me know if you can readily navigate to some examples of my work there. If you succeed, take a moment to leave a comment. You need to be over 18 years of age to view artwork on the latter of the two sites. The former site contains a photo album with a number of my still life and landscape paintings. Let me know which of you find interesting. Would you turn to either of these sites if you were interesting in collecting or purchasing a work of art, a painting or drawing? How would you search for and navigate to these sites? Would this blog be a more convenient place to display the work?

Looking forward to hearing from you. I'd like to be reassured that there are actually lots of people out there, in cyberspace, who are interested in original artwork, like me ...
